As a cognitive behavioral therapist (read About » Meet Bobby for more details) with credentials in family therapy, Bobby Longman is able to provide therapy for a range of specific problems – depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, family–based problems, couples counselling, child behavioral difficulties, and parenting skills, as well as facilitating personal self-development for those wanting a personal but structured retreat.
We can also arrange for local alternative therapists to come to the Yurt Centre and provide a range of therapies on site. Therapies currently offered are reflexology, aromatherapy, massage, Indian head massage and Reiki, but please ask if there is a therapy not listed that you would like to try.
Natural Spa Packages
At Cortijo Vadillo we offer natural spa packages for groups or individuals, which can include:
- The Sweat Lodge: this is a natural sauna experience within a bender structure; rocks are heated in the fire-pit and then placed inside the lodge (minimum 6 people).
- Seasonal juice detox with seasonal fruit from the farm.
- Nacimiento plunge: the ultimate natural plunge pool experience.
- Facials and Detoxes using Forever Living Organic Aloe Vera products, which are also available to buy.

Llave de Granada Spa
In the town of Alcalá la Real, only 20 minutes drive from the Yurt Centre, you can find the lovely little spa called “Llave de Granada”.
The spa consists of a hydrotherapy pool, contrast pools, jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, various showers, and foot massage. You can also have a massage in their treatment room.
Prices start from € 15 for a basic circuit.
Hammams Nearby
There are beautiful حَمّام تُرْكيّ—hammams—in both Granada and Córdoba that offer magical spa experiences. With a range of rooms and pools surrounded by gorgeous Arabic tiling and decoration, this is a fantastic treat as part of a day out in either city.
Start with relaxing in the ”warm room“ which is heated by a continuous flow of hot, dry air, encouraging you to perspire (a real pore clean-out). You may then move to an even hotter room – the “hot room” – before you wash in cold water. After a full body wash and receiving a massage, you finally retire to the “cooling-room” for another period of relaxation.

Hammam Al Andaluz in Granada
These are the first Arab baths in Europe to be reopened following their closure in the sixteenth century.
Located at the foot of the Alhambra on the ruins of an old hammam, you can enjoy the Arab baths, a soothing massage and the aromas and tastes of the past.

Located only a few meters away from the Mosque, in the heart of the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate, the largest Arab baths in Europe will transport you to the splendor of the Al Ándalus kingdom.
